It is informed that, in the ref. read above, the Minister of State (I/c), Youth Affairs & Sports and Minister of State Minority Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi has informed that, to launch a nationwide Fit India Movement’ to inculcate physical activity / sports into daily life of citizens.
Further, informed that, Hon’ble Prime Minister would be launching
‘Fit India Movement’ on 29th August, 2019
at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi and administer a Fitness Pledge to all citizens and requested to make necessary arrangements for viewing the live telecast. A copy of the reference is enclosed
In view of the above, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education / District Educational Officers/ Principals of DIETs, CTEs, IASEs in the State are requested to issue instructions to all field officers / Headmasters of all management schools/colleges, DIETs, IASE, CTEs in the State for viewing the Hon’ble Prime Minister Live Telecast on “Fit India
Movement’ on Doordarshan on 29h August, 2019 without gail. 1, Making wide scale arrangements of viewing live telecast of the event in all schools, colleges, panchayats, urban bodies and public places; 2. Making fitness a mass movement involving all citizens irrespective of age and gender; and 3. To encourage and facilitate taking of ‘Fitness Pledge’ by maximum number of citizens;
