Ho'ble Prime Minister's call to make lndia free from single use plastic- lnstructions issued

Attention is invited to the reference read above in which the Government of lndia has

communicated the Hon'ble Prime Minister's message which urged the Nation during the 73'd

lndependence Day Celebrations on make the lndia free from single use plastic.

As per the message of

the Hon'ble Prime Minster of lndia the single use plastic drastically impacts the Environment in a

harmfulway. Single use plastic after usage is mostly dumped on land fill sites, choking the water supply

and drainage system and damaging the Environment due to its non-biodegradability.

They are further informed that a Nation vide campaign will be launched on 2nd Oct, 201-9

towards making lndia free from single use plastic.

Hence all the Project Officers Of SSA and District Educational Officers in the Sate are here by

informed that issue

appropriate instructions to allthe schools in your district to avoid the usage of single

use plastic, both within and outside the school premises.

This should be treated as Most Urgent.
