Mid-Day Meal Scheme - Poshan Abhiyan - State Convergence action plan

The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the State is

th read above, and they are informed that the

Special Commissioner Women Development and Child Welfare

Department informed that the Govt. have constituted a Convergence Action

Plan Committee at State, District and Project level with specific mandate to

prepare convergence action plan, review progress, identify gaps and

introduce effective intervention based on the specific targets. A copy of the

same is enclosed for ready reference.

Further, Government requested for information as well as suggestions

on verily department activities outlined in the document in two days.

In view of the above lines and gaps identified in attached document, a

format is prepared and provided below on a few issues relating to MDM

scheme such as with regard to children observed with Iron deficiency, eye

sight among children and deworming/ Iron tablets provided to the children.

All the DEOs are, therefore, requested to furnish the information in

the format, prescribed, on or before 17.07.2019 without fail as a report to

the Women Development and Child Welfare Department is to be provided.
