It is to inform that the APNGC at present organizing environmental awareness programmes through the eco-clubs schools (250) students in each district during 2018-19. But during 2019-20, it is proposed to increase the number of Eco clubs to 500 in each district. Accordingly proposals were sent to Govt. of India. At present in every district Eco club programmes are Co ordinate by the District coordinator at district level and Green teachers for each cluster of 25 schools. To implement the Eco club programme more effectively and efficiently and to support District coordinators, it is proposed to induct Divisional coordinators also who will be paid remuneration. In this connection, it is requested to issue instructions to the Deputy Educational Officers in your district to identify a suitable science teacher to organize the programmes as and when programmes conducted by the APNGC. He will be the supporting the existing District Coordinator and he will be designated as “Divisional Coordinator” and will be paid remuneration received from the MoEF&CC under the scheme Financial Assistance for strengthening the implementation and monitoring at District Level.
In addition to the above, it is also requested to issue suitable instructions to the District Coordinators / Green Teachers of your district to form Eco club in each school with at least 50 numbers of students with a minimum 33% of girls to participate in the environmental awareness programmes. Out of 50 one will be the Captain and another Vice captain. Among these two one should be girl student. The Teacher in charge of the school should maintain a permanent register comprising the details of Eco club members like Name of the Student, Parents name, date of birth, Aadhar No etc., along with passport photo in each page of the Register. All the activities carried out by the Eco club should be documented in this register.
This should be treated as “TOP PRIORITY / MOST URGENT”.
