In Partial Modification of the earlier orders issued in the reference 5 cited, Mega Parent Teacher Meetings 2.0 (Mega PTM 2.0) across all Government, Private Aided and Private Unaided schools and Junior Colleges in the state would be held on 10.07.2025.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has embarked on a transformative mission to provide quality education for all children, ensuring holistic development across the state. To achieve this vision, the School Education Department emphasizes community participation and the active engagement of all stakeholders in the education system. This priority is strongly supported by the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE) and the National Education Policy, 2020 (NEP), both of which advocate for meaningful involvement of stakeholders in educational progress.
All Regional Joint Directors of School Education (RJDSEs), District Educational Officers (DEOS) & Ex-Officio Project Coordinators, and Additional Project Coordinators (APCs) of Samagra Shiksha are informed that community participation, particularly parental involvement, is vital for improving the education system. Both the RTE-2009 and NEP-2020 recognize parents as key stakeholders to encourage schools to ensure that parents are true partners in their child's educational journey.
The Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) serves as a crucial platform to strengthen the bond between parents, teachers, and schools. PTMs help parents understand their child's academic progress, behavior, and awareness of societal issues, while enabling teachers to seek parental cooperation for the child's benefit.
To promote this collaborative effort, the Government intends to conduct Mega Parent-Teacher Meetings (Mega PTMs) on a single day across all
