All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Ofcers in the State are informed that in view of completion of 150 years of IMD, India Meteorological Department (IMD), South Asian Meteorological Association (SAMA), and the Indian Meteorological Society (IMS) are jointly organizing the National Meteorological Olympiad on Weather and Climate Science for Society which aims to : 1. Promote Meteorological Awareness: Foster a deeper understanding of meteorology and atmospheric sciences among students, educators, and the public. 2. Encourage Scientific Curiosity: Inspire interest in weather systems, climate change, and the role of meteorology in everyday life. 3. Identify Emerging Talent: Recognize and nurture young talent with an aptitude for meteorological sciences. 4.
