School Education-Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT) Programme-Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) – 60day certifcate course – Conduct of Training to the SGTs (Secondary Grade Teachers) for 6 days in residential mode from 25-11-2024 to 30-11-2024 (Third Spell) – Instructions

1. The District Educational Ofcers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha mentioned in the address entry are informed that the State government is prioritizing foundational literacy and numeracy aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and other key frameworks. This focus on early childhood care and education (ECCE) is crucial for ensuring that children develop essential skills at a young age. 2. In this context a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing the skills of Grade 1 and 2 teachers through a structured 60-day certifcate course. This collaboration between the Department of School Education, Samagra Shiksha, and ASER (Pratham) emphasizes a blended learning approach, combining both ofine and online training methods. 3. Accordingly, a comprehensive training initiative is taken up by the department to train the 34,000 SGTs in six days in the residential mode across the state in 14 spells. Accordingly, frst and second spell were successfully completed and the teachers were enthusiastically participated in the residential training in 9 venues across the state. 4.
