Samagra Shiksha, AP – Quality Initiatives – Conduct of training needs analysis (TNA) survey for the year 2024-2025 by using AP Teacher bot – Instructions issued-
The attention of the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the state are invited to the subject cited. In accordance with the provisions of the National Education Policy 2020 for fulfilling needs-based training of teachers, under the aegis of AP-SALT Project, a training needs analysis (TNA) survey needs to be rolled out to teachers, and based on the teacher's interest aligned with their professional development and competencies, courses need to be developed and rolled out for consumption. This includes improved coverage under need based Teacher Training is connected to TNA.
The following details are regarding TNA 2024-25.
Implementation of TNA in 2-Phases:
First phase:
1. TNA will be implemented in 2 phases. In the first phase, complex HMs conducted meetings with teachers through group discussions and training needs were identified. These will be qualitative in nature, which will be analyzed and help in identifying specific courses for teachers.
2. The complex HM's conducted meetings with sample size teachers and responses were collected through survey CTO form.
The first phase is completed in the last week of September 2024.
Second phase:
1. In this phase, a survey will be rolled out to all teachers of the state listing different courses based on the first phase of TNA at complex level and classroom based assessment (CBA) student scores across the state. Each teacher would be asked to give their preference on the courses they are interested to take part in.
2. Complex HM is expected to orient teachers and support them in
completing the survey.
3. The platform for this survey is confirmed as AP Teacher bot developed by
