School Education – SCERT – In service Teachers’ Trainings – Mathematics – Class VIII
All the District Education Ofcers of the state are informed that, the
Government of Andhra Pradesh has unleashed a new era in school education
by introducing extensive curricular reforms from the academic year 2020-21.
The Government has taken up curricular reforms intending to enhance the
learning outcomes of the children.
2. SCERT has developed and released new Mathematics text book for
class VI in 2020-21,onwards followed by Class VII in 2021-22 in accordance
with the recommendations of NCF-2005, RTE-2009, APSCF-2011 and Draft
NEP-2019. Later, the government in November 2021 has decided to
introduce CBSE syllabus in the state for class VIII from academic year 2022-
23 and it will subsequently be implemented for classes IX and X with the
same batch of the students.
3. With the introduction of CBSE syllabus in the state schools, from the
next academic year onwards, the SCERT, A.P. has started translating
NCERT VIII Standard Mathematics Text book in to Telugu, for the beneft of
the Telugu Medium students and teachers as well.
4. Class room teaching and learning process will be conducted in a more
interactive, fun, creative way with exploratory activities for more experiential
learning. For this, it is proposed to conduct in service teachers training for
the mathematics teachers in all over the state for understanding Philosophy
and methodology of NCERT text book and change/adopt to their way
