Celebration of 75 years of India’s independence –“Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” would commence 75 weeks prior to the Independence Day 2020 – Certain instructions

The attention of the Director, SCERT, all Regional Joint Directors of
School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are invited
to the reference cited and the Secretary, DoSEL, GoI has informed that,
the celebration of 75 years of India's independence-"Azadi ka Amrut
Mahotsav" would commence 75 weeks prior to the Independence Day
2022 and will extend upto Independence Day 2023. The launch of the
celebration will be a 25-day event starting on 12.03.2021 (anniversary of
the launch of Dandi March) and will conclude on 5th April 2021 (conclusion
of Dandi March). The Hon’ble Prime Minister will launch the opening
ceremony on the 12th of March from Gujarat. 
Further, the following activities to be taken place as a part of
celebration of 75 years of India's independence-"Azadi ka Amrut
Mahotsav" are as follows
1. 1-hour Conference /Seminar /Symposium /talk /webinar
/presentation by students of Schools/cluster of schools/School
Boards/Teacher Education Institutions (TEI) on India's freedom
struggle on 12th March, 2021, with student participation as
speakers/presenters. Topics may be decided by the SCERT in such a
manner that they reflect the understanding, knowledge, and


learnings of the child about the country's journey to independence
and beyond, cutting across various subjects. For this schools/school
boards/TEIs may be advised to plan beforehand in a befitting
manner. Video clips of the school maybe posted on the social media
platforms of the school by tagging the following.
