he attention of the all the District Educational officers in the state is

invited to the reference cited, a Virtual Meeting was Conducted under the

Chairman ship of The Commissioner of civil supplies and EO Secretary to Govt.

Consumer affairs, Food and Civil Supplies Department on 24.12.2020. The

commissioner of Civil Supplies has stated the key points of Consumer Protection

Act,2019 and also informed that, Consumer affairs has to be made curriculum

for school children and also awareness shall be brought in parents through

children.

In view of the above, all The District Educational Officers are requested to

issue necessary instructions to the Headmasters concerned

to establish consumer clubs in every High School in all Management Schools and

aware the teachers and students on Consumer Protection Act,2019(New Act)..

THE CONSTITUTION OF CONSUMER CLUB IN SCHOOLS MAY FOLLOW THE

FOLLOWING PARAMETERS:

1.The Club In charge must be a child friendly and enthusiastic Teachers any

cadre preferably School Assistant.

2. Select Proactive 8th and 9thStudents from each class @ 10members

3. Club meeting should be conducted every month.

4. Creating awareness among parents through students.

5. Consumer Day celebrations have to be conducted.
