Conduct of National Mathematics Day Celebrations 2020 - 21st to 23rd December 2020

Educational Officers in the state are informed that in commemoration of

the discovery of the properties of the partition function of Sri Srinivasa

Ramanujan for his invention in elliptic functions and theory of members,

APCOST is proposed to organize a program entitled “National Mathematics

Day (NMD) Celebrations-2020” in all districts of the state with the

cooperation and support of SCERT, AP.

2. Further, the National Mathematics Day falls on 22nd December, it is

proposed to conduct the NMD Celebrations-2020 any one day in between

21st to 23rd December, 2020.

3. In view of the above, all the District Educational Officers in the state

are requested to conduct the NMD Celebrations 2020, in all division

headquarters by conducting elocution and essay writing competitions for

the students of classes VII to XII and nominate the winner from each

category to the state level competitions directly. Further, all the District

Educational Officers are requested to instruct the District Science Officer

of the concerned district to accompany all the district participants to the

state level competition. The date and venue of the state level competitions

will be intimated shortly.

4. The TA, DA for the participants to state level competitions will be

paid as per APTA rules.

5. The Director, SCERT is requested to conduct the State Level NMD

Celebrations, 2020 in association with APCOST.
