IRCS., A.P - Constitution of District Junior and Youth Red Cross sub-Committtes - Certain instructions issued

The attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and

District Educational Officers in the State are invited to the reference cited, wherein

the GS & CEO, IRCS, A.P has stated that, during the video conference held on

03.06.2020 with all Collectors & Presidents of IRCs, the Hon'ble Governor of A.P

has desired to have Junior & Youth Red Cross units in every school, College and

University in the State. Enroll the students and youth as volunteers to strengthen

the Red Cross movement at the grass root level and also to integrate Red Cross in

to the academic curriculum of the students. Further, he requested to constitute the

District Junior and Youth Red Cross Sub-Committees in accordance with the

guidelines for Junior and Youth Red Cross, 2012 issued by the IRCS, New Delhi.

In view of the above, it is requested to constitute the concerned District

Junior and Youth Red Cross Sub-Committees with the following composition i.e.,

1. Joint Collector (V&WS and Development) Chairman

2. District Educational officer Member-Convenor

District Medical and Health Officer Member

4. IRCS, District Branch Secretary-Member

5. Principals of two colleges (including Nodal College) in District- Members

6. Head Masters of two High Schools in the District Members

7. Two College Students (one male, one female)- Members

8. Two School students (one male, one female) - Members

Therefore, all the under mentioned officers are requested to take necessary

action for constitution of concerned District Junior and Youth Red Cross Sub-

Committees with the approval of the concerned Collector & District Magistrates in

the State and the functions of the District junior and youth Red Cross Sub-

committees are herewith enclosed.
