In the reference 1st read above, under Samagra Shiksha an amount of
Rs.26,45,100/- (Rs.Twenty Six lakhs Forty Five thousand and One hundred only) was
provided for issue of teachers’ ID cards with photo @ Rs.50/- per teacher to 52902
Teachers working in the Secondary Schools in the State in order to ensure quality of
education, it is essential that newly appointed teachers are present in the schools.
The ID Cards must have the details such as photograph & name of the teacher along
with name of the School with U-DISE Code, Full Address of the school with Block,
Village, District, and Designation etc. PGI indicator 2.1.2 will be amended to replace
teachers’ photos with ID cards for teachers. This should be carried by all teachers in
the schools. Further this would also help in physical verification of the attendance of
the teachers during inspections.
