Jagananna Gorumudda (Mid-Day Meal) Scheme – Procurement of Eggs under MDM and ICDS Schemes – Certain instructions issued

All the concerned District Educational Officers in the state are informed that

to streamline the supply of Eggs under Mid Day Meal Scheme and ICDS

Department, the Government in the G.O 1st cited have issued orders for floating

Divisional Level Tenders (Educational Division) for procurement of Eggs with revised

eligibility criteria to enable more number of bidders, especially the poultry farmers

to participate in Tender.

In continuation of the earlier instructions issued vide references read above,

the District Educational Officers, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, SPSR

Nellore, Chittoor and YSR Kadapa (Produttur division) have finalized the Tenders

and sent for approval of the same. The proposals were verified and Government

gave approval for the tenders. Hence,

1. DEOs are permitted to issue work orders immediately to the new successful

bidders.

2. DEOs are also instructed to inform the new egg tenderers to get well

acquainted with the schools/ places where the eggs are to be delivered and

the proper planning for logistics urgently for delivery of eggs as and when

instructions are given for delivery of eggs. This is insisted for the reason that

once permission is given for the proposed dry ration during the summer

vacation, the DEOs should be prepared to distribute dry ration including

eggs from the new egg tenderers without any issues and delays.

3. They are also directed to follow the other conditions as prescribed in tender

document strictly as usual.
