Mana Badi Nadu-Nedu-Execution of compound walls-further guidelines

The Compound wall is one of the nine components under Mana Badi Nadu-

Nedu, which is for improving the infrastructure facilities in all the schools. Vide the

memo read in ref 1st cited, guidelines were issued in execution of compound walls

which were sanctioned with new type design i.e. with unit cost of Rs. 5900/- per

running meter.

2. During the review meeting held by Honourable Chief Minister, on 28-02-2020,

certain modifications were suggested for the compound wall work. Based on the

suggestions the following further guidelines/changes are issued in execution of

compound walls.

• The components of Iron angles and barbed wire fencing communicated vide

ref 1st cited shall not be executed further.

• In case the above components are already executed payments (FTOs) may

be completed immediately in a week.

• Coping concrete shall be laid to a thickness of 0.075 mt thick on the top width

of the compound wall.

• The road side face of the compound walls shall be painted with selected and

vibrant colours and drawings, so that the school children get attracted and

motivated for their academic learning.

• The rest of the guidelines communicated in the memo hold good.

3. Hence all the Executive Engineers, implementing Nadu-Nedu Schools, DEOs

and APCs shall make note of the above changes and completed the compound walls

by 31st March 2020.
