Containment, Control and Prevention of spread of COVID-19 — Set up a Call Centre / Help Desk in the O/o the District Educational Officer - Certain instructions – Issued.
All Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District
Educational Officers in the State are informed that, in the ref. read above
(copy enclosed), Dr. Audimulapu Suresh, Hon’ble Minister for Education, Govt.
of Andhra Pradesh has directed to set up a call centre/help desk in each
District in O/o the District Educational Officer and appoint a responsible
officer in order to address and guide i.e. examination related issues, closure of
colleges/ students, Coaching centres up to 14th April 2020, social distancing,
and other issues and to give wide publicity about measures to be taken to
prevent COVID-19.
They are therefore requested to set up a call centre/help desk in each
District in the O/o the District Educational Officer and appoint a responsible
officer, not below the rank of one Assistant Director and one Superintendent /
Sr. Assistant for the above said purpose with instructions to guide the students
regarding examinations, closure of schools, Coaching Centres, social
distancing and other issues and to give wide publicity about measures to be
taken for prevention of spreading and management COVID-19 in their
respective districts.They are also requested to take severe disciplinary action
against the individuals/ institutions who failed to comply with the instructions
issued by the Govt from time to time with regard to measures containing
COVID-19.
Further, they are requested to submit the information immediately i.e.
names and cell nos of the Team members of the Call Centre / Help desk of
the respective districts to the Peshi of Hon’ble Minister for Education, Govt. of
A.P., Velagapudi and to this office without fail.
These instructions should be followed scrupulously and report
compliance.
