Subjeet: Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 1333 for 10.02.2020 regarding 'Safety of Students' asked

Sir/Madam,

The undersigned is directed to refer to the Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 1333 for

10.02.2020 regarding "Safety of Students' askcd by Shri Rahul Rarmesh Shewale. The text of the

question is reproduced below:

(a) whether the Government has received complaints of atrocities against students in

schools in the country during cach of the last three years and the current ycar

(6) if so, the details thereof, Statc/0T-wise and the reasons therefor,

(c)the number of incidents of killing/rape of students in school come to the noțice of the

Government during the said period, State/UT-wise;

(d) whether the Government proposes to modity the existing guidelines intended to curb

such incidents in schools due to rISing crime against children inside schoo1s,

(e) if so, the details thereof along with the time by which such guidelines are likely to be

modified and impiemented in the country; and

()the other steps taken by the Government in this direction?
