Dr. Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Diwas 2018 will be observed on Thursday, the 6th of December. This year, i.e. 2018, the 63rd Dr. Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Diwas (death anniversary) will be observed.
The President would lead to pay floral tribute to the statue of Babasaheb at Sansad Bhavan Lawns in the Parliament House complex. Following him, the Vice President, Prime Minister and other members of parliament will also pay their tribute to the Architect of Indian Constitution. The Ambedkar Foundation, the autonomous body of Social Justice & Empowerment will be organising the ceremony
Babasaheb Youth Committee, Indore will be organising a silent rally which will start from Nehru Nagar and continue to Geeta Bhavan. Indian Buddhist Foundation, Samta Sainik Dal, Matoshree Ramai Women Committee and Indian Republican Bahujan Foundation will commemorate the day by paying a collective tribute to Dr. Ambedkar.
There has been special arrangement made at Chaityabhoomi, the resting place of Babasaheb, forecasting the huge crowd on account of Mahaparinirvan Divas on 06thDecember. The security has been tightened and there will be a close watch on the event. The facility and management service in the area has been beefed up on the account of huge rush on the occasion.
Central Railway will be starting 14 special trains forecasting the rush due to Mahaparinirvan Divas. The trains would run from 04th to 7th December. Mumbai traffic police have also done special arrangement seeing the huge rush at Chaityabhoomi as huge number of followers will be visiting the place to pay homage to the ‘Father of Indian Constitution
